Our History
Starlight K was founded by Agnes Kabusu on September 14th, 2020, during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The brand started as an online store, initially launching on Instagram and Facebook. The idea for the brand was born out of Agnes’ observation that many black women were insecure about their skin complexion and hair, often resorting to wigs and protective hairstyles to hide their natural hair. She also noticed that many people, regardless of gender, struggled to find skincare products suitable for their skin type.
During the lockdown period, Agnes began researching and experimenting with different natural ingredients to create skincare products that would address these issues. Her hard work paid off when she created her best-selling product, unrefined Shea butter, a multifunctional product that can treat skin problems, moisturise hair, and promote growth. Today, Starlight K is a well-established brand known for its high-quality, natural products and exceptional customer service.
